We have a bunch of Melissa and Doug toys at home, including puzzles, and blocks, and we’ve always been satisfied with their quality and construction.Most of Melissa and Doug’s folding princess castle is colored pink with a bit of gold. Besides looking professional and elegant, I think it’s a very nice touch. It’s high quality, as are many of the Melissa & Doug toys. Don’t wait to buy this gift – your little princess will adore it. When you observe how well-made and aesthetically pleasing it is, its large size, and how your kids’ castle will be similar to the best of any boy’s knight castle, you’ll find your money well spent.The folding princess castle looks complicated, but it’s actually very easy to set up. It’s called a folding castle for a reason – you simply take it out of the box, unfold it, place the movable towers and turrets where you want them, and you’re ready to play.The Melissa and Doug princess castle is easy to move around because it weighs 16 pounds. Because it can fold up and unfold, it’s fast to assemble and disassemble. Your daughter will have lots of fun imagining royal adventures with her folding princess castle.No surprises that the princess castle is pink, (most little girls’ favorite color).The flag on the folding princess castle is held on by a magnet, which does make sense since if it had been glued on it could easily be broken off. However, the flag can be lost easily. Being able to take it off easily lets my kids act out capture the flag storyline. I just have to move heaven and earth to find it when they lose it.Some items on the princess castle that can be changed, altered or moved are the dungeon, door, towers, and turrets. The castle has wide balconies, a big courtyard, flying buttresses, an arched entryway, a magnetic flag, and a drawbridge that can open and close. You can also move some of the staircases as well. If you open up the princess castle completely, you’ll see a large interior courtyard for more adventures.My daughter was thrilled, I’m happy, my wife is happy.
